Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 400 g whole rolled oats
  • 150 g mixed nuts and seeds (almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, flaxseeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds)
  • 1 teaspoon fleur de sel (sea salt)

Wet Ingredients

  • 130 g vegetable oil (coconut oil, grapeseed oil, hazelnut oil, or similar)
  • 130 g honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 150°C (300°F) and line a baking tray or rectangular baking dish with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole rolled oats with the mixed nuts and seeds — you can use whole or chopped nuts depending on your texture preference.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in the vegetable oil, honey or maple syrup, and fleur de sel. Mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon until all the dry ingredients are evenly coated with the liquid mixture.
  4. Spread the Granola: Transfer the mixture onto the lined baking tray or dish. Spread it out evenly over the entire surface to ensure uniform baking.
  5. Bake and Stir: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes. Halfway through cooking, remove the tray and stir the granola gently to promote even browning.
  6. Cool Completely: Once golden and toasted, remove the granola from the oven and allow it to cool completely on the tray before transferring to a large airtight container or jar for storage.

Notes

  • You can substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar for a vegan alternative.
  • Feel free to customize the nut and seed mix according to your preference or what’s available.
  • Allowing the granola to cool completely is important to achieve the desired crunchiness and prevent clumping inside the storage container.
  • Store in an airtight jar to keep it fresh for up to two weeks.
